Inhibitors from natural materials are safe for the environment to replace chemical inhibitors in inhibiting corrosion. The tannin compounds contained Terminalia Catappa leaves extract have ability inhibit corrosion rate. This study aims determine of and its synergism with KI rate mild steel metal. Mild that has been sanded cleaned is then immersed demineralized water. immersion time was carried out 3 variations which were 1, 3, 5 hours. weight-loss method used calculate lowest obtained at 0.0018 mmpy an hour, concentration inhibitor 1250 ppm. highest inhibition efficiency 90% hour a ppm concentration. Inhibitor dari bahan alam digunakan karena aman bagi lingkungan untuk menggantikan kimia dalam menghambat laju korosi.
